What is Tharchives?
Tharchives is a curated selection of pre-owned designer and vintage fashion from Jávea, Spain. We focus on authentic luxury pieces with expert restoration options via our Bag Spa service.
How do I know items are authentic?
All items at Tharchives undergo thorough in-house verification before listing to ensure they are genuine pre-owned designer or vintage pieces. This includes checking labels, hardware, overall consistency with brand standards for the era/style.
- Clothing & Accessories: Authentication is included as standard. We stand behind our verification process.
- Handbags: We verify authenticity as part of our listing process. For added peace of mind (especially on high-value or vintage designer bags), you can purchase our optional Authenticity Certificate as a separate add-on (available as a product variation at checkout or via custom request). This provides a detailed expert report with photos and findings. Pricing starts from [€25, depending on brand/complexity]. Contact us for a quote if needed.
If any concerns arise post-purchase, reach out immediately, we offer re-verification and full refund/exchange if an item is found inauthentic (subject to our Returns policy).
What is your returns policy?
14-day returns for unworn/unused items (tags on, no damage). Buyer pays return shipping. Please refer to our returns policy for more information

Yes, message us to hold for 24-48 hours, a partial deposit will apply.
Why is vintage sizing different?
Vintage and designer brands use varying standards across eras/countries, please also rely on garment measurements (provided in products), not tag size.

Bag Spa and Restoration:
What is Bag Spa?
Professional luxury bag restoration/cleaning: deep cleaning, leather conditioning, color restoration, hardware polishing (depending on what has to be done), leather replacement, zipper clean (replacement is offered in certain cases), mold removal. For designer/vintage handbags (and some shoes).
How much does the Bag Spa cost, and how long does restoration take?
This depends on each specific job, and the grade of difficulty of said job. You can request a free quote and timeframe by contacting us via our socials, or bag spa contact form (will be added soon)
How do I send my bag? Do I drop it off?
In-person drop-off in Jávea is currently preferred. Shipping is another option but it must be insured/tracked (we will provide instructions on our dedicated bag spa send in form). The return shipping is included in the quote.
Is bag/shoe restoration sustainable?
Yes, extending bag/shoe life reduces waste, aligns with circular fashion.
What bags can you restore? Do you offer color restoration/hardware replacement?
Most designer brands (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Loewe, etc.) especially leather/canvas. We assess damage, material, job difficulty and time required to complete the job. To establish a suitable personalized quote for each client and job.
Yes, we do offer the option of expert matching for fading/discoloration, and authentic or high-quality compatible hardware depending on the clients budget and preference.
